RUPIN & SUPIN TREK
One of the best trekking opportunities for you will be trekking in the Garhwal region and exploring the remote valleys of Uttarakhand. The Rupin Supin Trek is as entertaining as the name suggests. The Valleys, which are located in Uttarakhand’s northwestern corner and on the border with Himachal Pradesh, are among the most scenic and beautiful in the state. Trekking along the Rupin River within the Govind Pashu National Park’s boundaries would be a life-changing experience for you. You will have the opportunity to traverse the two valleys in a spectacular trek over high ridges, overlooking the mighty Himalayan peaks, primarily the Kinnaur Kailash Range, in the Garhwal Himalayas.
Itinerary
Trekkers will be picked up from Dehradun Railway Station in the morning and transported to Khanyasni Camp between 6:00 and 7:00 a.m. by Discovery Hike.
After an hour, you can arrive in Mussoorie, also known as the "Queen of Hills." People flock there in droves during their holidays with their families and friends.Stop at kempty dropping after half an hour. Get breakfast there and observe people from all over the world. The break will last no more than one hour. The peaks ahead are clear, and you will soon be close to the holy Yamuna River. Take a 20-minute break if you want to relax and enjoy being around it. You'll pass through the small markets of Nainbagh, Damta, and Naugaon on your way there. Arrive in Purola at about 1:30 p.m. and stop for lunch. Proceed to Sankri via Jarmola after lunch. The back of Kedarkantha can be seen from there. Travel through Jarmola's pine forest on a scenic zigzag path.After arriving in Mori and going through a checkpoint called Naitwar, you will be able to enjoy tea or snacks at the Khanyasni campsite.
After breakfast, begin your trek to Pujali and Bitri village by following the right bank of the river Rupin (1500 m). At Bitri, which is 2000 meters above sea level, there are numerous apple orchards and fields.
The villagers' traditional beliefs and way of life are evident. Wheat is grown here, as well as red rice. The path now leads you through a thick pine forest, with views of the Himachal Mountains and Changsheel Valley from the top of Bitri village. We'll set up camp a kilometer away in a wide meadow called "Sarutal." After erecting the camps and preparing food, it's time to retire for the night.
Breakfast will be served at the camp, after which you will begin your trek to Badang camp. A high ridge separates the Rupin and Supin valleys, providing panoramic views of the mountains.
The peaks of Himachal can be seen to the north, with humorous views of Swargarohini, a rare mountain with four peaks. Ascend through dense forest parts as you gain altitude. The Rupin and Supin Rivers can be seen along the meandering road, and you'll come across streams along the way where you can rest.Badang is a broad, green meadow that is ideal for camping. Set up your tents and call it a night.
Begin your trek to Pachi Thach after breakfast, passing through Vijay Top (3800 meters). The ascent to the top is steep, but it rewards you with breath-taking views of snow-capped mountains and spectacular views of Vishkhopri, Obra Valley, and Khimloga Pass. After taking in the panoramic views, begin the descent to Pachi Thach.
Day 3 starts with resolve after a restful night. The big day has arrived. We're supposed to trek 12 kilometers. The highlight is the climb to Vijay Peak, which is near 3800 meters. Streams, trees, and meadows are all present in the landscape. The landscape is dotted with flowers of every color imaginable.
Today, after breakfast, we started our final 7-kilometer trek down to Sankri village's base camp. Leave Pachi Thach's campsite and continue on the trail, passing several farms along the way; ahead is the village of Fhitari and Dhara. The villagers worship Lord Someshwar in a large temple on the right bank of the Supin River.
Jakhol is the largest village and the gateway to the Supin valley. Spend some time with the villagers to get a glimpse of their daily lives and how they make a living, and then take a taxi to Sankri. In our hotel/tent, we will spend the night and have dinner.
Today is the last day of your trek with the Discovery Hike team. The certificates will be provided, and after some beautiful images, Sankri will bid you all farewell.
